Combating of Nutritional Detriments prevalent in Africa

A SUCCESS STORY IN THE PROVISION OF BALANCED NUTRITION IN THE COMBATING OF NUTRITIONAL DETRIMENTS PREVALENT IN AFRICA

AFRUKA's HEALTH PROGRAM also assists compromised people suffering from HIV/AIDS and other afflictions to live a normal life.

DOSAGE REGIMEN
It is simple to take, by both children and adults, without the need for health- care supervision.

NO SIDE EFFECTS
The Afruka Health Program is free from the dangerous side effects of drug related therapy.

QUICK RESULTS (Within days of commencing the program)
Afruka is quickly digested by the body and for this reason the positive results of the program are evident within days of commencing treatment.

Background and Context

The evolution and spread of drug resistant pathogens presents a growing problem worldwide, and HIV is no exception.

Drug resistance is rapidly developing in the virus on an ongoing basis, both from natural viral evolution and in response to drug therapies. The fact that virtually all anti-microbials including anti-retrovirals lose efficacy over time because of the development and spread of resistance in the target organism is an unavoidable fact.

We at Afruka know that the use of our medicinal herbs in combination with our natural nutritional supplements offers an alternative methodology to biochemical drugs for human pathogenic control that is able to avoid triggering the resistance development phenomenon in human pathogens we see occurring with the use of highly targeted biochemical drugs.

The primary mechanism of drug resistance evolution in response to antiretroviral or other therapies is the survival of random mutations resistant to the drugs when all susceptible microorganisms are destroyed. While under natural conditions these random mutations might be selected against, when all their competitors are destroyed by drugs, the mutated microorganisms are then free to repopulate without competition.

Current drug therapy therefore spurs the development of drug resistance in HIV, TB and malaria at a far higher speed than would occur naturally and currently plagues attempts to control these diseases, particularly in resource-constrained settings in most parts of Africa.

Afruka's Alternative Approach

The reasons for Afruka's position regarding the advantageous use of its product for HIV/Aids are many, but the principal argument is that the highly complex natural biomolecular therapeutic combinations of Afruka's Health Program of herbal medicine and natural nutritional supplementation offer a type of a human pathogen biocontrol agent that is sufficiently multivalent to defeat the resistance-evolution mechanisms of human micro-organism pathogens.

The principle is, simply stated, that natural biological agents have a wide arsenal of strategies for combating pathogens, and that they have evolved these strategies over millions of years to successfully control invading organisms. Because of the wide arsenal and complex natural biochemistry of natural biocontrol agents, micro-organisms are much less likely and much less capable of developing resistance.

We at Afruka are taking this strategy a step further by using medicinal plants in whole plant forms to boost human immune function and destroy pathogens.

Simultaneously we provide a wide range of natural form nutritional supplements that specifically target the nutritional detriments brought about by the invading virus and the body's struggle to control it.

Our approach is in many respects consonant with traditional medicine, but we bring a multicultural, multidisciplinary methodology to the undertaking that also includes the latest scientific understandings and tools.

The principle and hypothesis is that the wide array of bioactive compounds in our whole-plant herbal medicines in combination with the wide array of natural compounds in our whole plant food substances may well help to defeat the resistance mechanisms in viruses and other microorganisms.

Tolerance and Ability to Continue Therapy

A second major advantage to Afruka's strategy is the ability of patients to tolerate the Afruka Health Program without toxic side effects.

Drug adherence is a significant issue in resource-constrained settings in Africa, and the failure to complete or adhere to treatment regimens has also contributed to the development of drug-resistant human pathogens.

While there are many factors involved, a major consideration is poor adherence or inability to complete the drug regimen due to constraining factors of poverty, inadequate diet and resultant inability to tolerate or complete the drug regimen.

Patients short of food have trouble tolerating the drugs and often abandon treatment. Side effects can include liver toxicity, rash, kidney dysfunction, eye disease and many other side effects.
